Nadia's Run for Asthma: October 2013

In 1994, 18 year old Nadia died as a result of an asthma attack. Before her untimely death, Nadia was a happy young woman with an amazing zest for life. She was an avid runner and a dedicated volunteer at the Alberta Children's Hospital who had high aspirations of one day becoming a doctor.

In memory of Nadia, an annual fun run and walk is held on the Sunday after Thanksgiving in October. This event gathers family, friends and others who would like to support Nadia's Run for Asthma Charitable Foundation.

Since 1998, Nadia's Run for Asthma Charitable Foundation has raised over $52, 000 in support of the Youth Asthma and Parent Education Program at the Alberta Children's Hospital.
